About Me
Hey, my name is Kimberly Covarrubias! This webpage was designed to share more about my life in regards to my job at Texas Athletics! My role at Texas Athletics is: Student Manager for the Track and Field Team. I enjoy this job because I have a love for sports, so being surrounded by it on a day-to-day basis is amusing to me and enjoyable!
My Job at Texas Athletics
My job consists of doing many tasks, such as doing laundry, getting the athletes' gear ready, setting up for practice, and even traveling with the team! Something that I have learned while being there has to be the mechanics of this sport. I was very unfamiliar with the sport in general, and I learned about the many events that happen within the sport while working here. It is amazing to see how there is something for everyone: speed, hops, and strength. It has been truly amazing to see the wide skill set this team holds. Some cool experiences while working have to be traveling, being able to visit new places, and exploring has been such a surreal experience. I also have to say that working with Olympians has been a very cool experience while being a manager.
My Hobbies
Outside of work, I enjoy playing sports, specifically Volleyball. I’m not in any teams, but I do like to play with my friends just for funsies. I also enjoy traveling. Fun fact: the first time I ever traveled, I went to Spain!
